Technology

Part 1

Lots of people nowadays can't dispense with using technology in their life; for some of them technology is part of their work. The history of technology is the history of making simple inventions and old tools like the wheel. Humanity has always been helped by technology.Agriculture and industry have been developed by technology. Now humans use technology more than before like communication and transport. Also, people use technology in education. Nowadays there are lots of colleges and universities which depend on using technology around the world. The internet and computers are two important things in our world today. People can't finish their work without using laptops and computers connected to the internet .In this essay I will describe the history of communication devices and how they are used now.

Communication is a process of transferring information from one entity to another. "Communication devices present data to the host in a form defined by another class, such as Audio, Data, or HIDInterface". (Andy Nicholson, www.usb.org).

Humans have always communicated. At the early beginning humans tried to find a way to communicate with each other so they tried to communicate by drawing and this was their language. Through the ages humans developed their communication and they created their own language so they spoke with each other instead of drawing. After that humans tried to communicate with each other from long distance and the telephone was the first invention which met their desire. In the 1870s Alexander Graham Bell designed a device that could transmit speech electrically which is the telephone. The telephone evolved over the years. Now people use the telephone wirelessly which they call the mobile phone. Nowadays mobile phone is not the only devise which people use it to communicant there are other devises like e mail which is one of this communication devises." E-mail is one of the most effective methods for communicating information to people and has a valuable role in an inclusive policy." (Montgomery Jonathan, www.open.ac.uk).

Nowadays mobile phone are used everywhere and people can't dispense with using them. The ways of using communication devices have been developed during these years. Also, the quality of using these devices has been developed like the voice became clearer than before. Now people can make video calls so they can see each other.

Technology is important for us in many things like education and communication. Technology helps our world and our people. So, we can't stop using technology. Telephones are one of these technologies which are great communication devices.

Part 2

In these days technology plays a big role in many things like quality and safety and it has made our life easier and more comfortable. Like in HCT they put the attendance in the system so they reduce the mistake which is caused by putting attendance manually. Also, in cars they use car computers so we can identify any problem in our car. Banks use technology; they but all the information about their members in their system so all the information about money will be in the account of members on the system. In this part I will talk about how the communication became nowadays and what they will be in the future.

Communication devises like mobile phone became more easer and professional than before. Now people can hear their voices through the phone clearly. It is more professional than it was in 1870. People now can do many things with their mobile phone like Black Berry. "The BlackBerry possesses a general contacts application that makes contacting people by any given method more convenient"(Mark Hendrickson, www. techcrunch.com).With Black Berry people can send and receive e mail .With it they can make a communication group so they can know everything in their work or in their university immediately. Now they can do some editing with their word file or their blog file with the Black Berry.

Lots of things about technology now were assumed by thinking people in the past. The development of technology is so fast nowadays and we live in a technological world but there are many things which are missing. Many people expect the existence of robots in our house will be in the future. Also, some people think that in the future all houses will be green buildings and they will use solar cells which helps our environment. People will live in an easier life with the new communication devise they can change their daily habits with the future communication devices. In the early future mobiles will be very thin like paper and people can wear it like watch. Mobile phone can be used as an educational device people will use it instead of going to school or college"Mobile technology, text messaging and e-mailing are relevant to the online support offered to students whether the course has distance learning elements, is based on an e-learning paradigm or involves face-to-face tuition." (Montgomery Jonathan, www.open.ac.uk).

Our life has been changed by technology and technology will change our life in the future. Communication devices are playing big role in changing our life. Now we can't get rid of using those devises in our daily life.

Bugatti VS Porsche 911

Lots of people these days use vehicles like cars for many things such as transporting and racing. These cars which they use for racing are called super cars because they have powerful engines. Bugatti and Porsche 911 are two of these super cars. In this essay I will compare and contrast these two cars.

There are some similarities between the Bugatti and the Porsche 911. The first similarity is both have a powerful engine .Max power in the Porsche 911 is 402bhp at 7300rpm and in the Bugatti is 987bhp at 6000rpm. The other similarity is they are super speed cars. Top speed in the Porsche 911 is 302km/h and in the Bugatti is 407km/h. Powerful acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is one of these similarities. The Porsche takes 3.6 s and for the Bugatti it is 2.5 s. "And the car still goes 253 mph. If Bugatti had spent all that development money just on the going fast, it would be worth it." (Jonathon Ramsey ,www.autoblog.com)

On the other hand there are many differences between them. The Porsche is lighter, 1425kg and 1888 kg for the Veyron. Also wheels size in the Veyron is larger than the Porsche, 21in for the Veyron and 19in for the Porsche 911. The price sounds pretty different. The Bugatti is more expensive: it costs $1,871,000 and $201,000 for the Porsche 911. About 911 Chris Harris mentions that” It does look very, very good, the Sport Classic. Irritatingly good. It's almost enough to justify the absurd price”. (Evo p.57)

In general the speed and the prices of the Porsche 911 are excellent. If you have enough money to buy the Veyron you should think about the price of its parts. Ricard Bremner said that "So might earning the money to pay for this other-worldly torrent of power. Never mind the Veyron's price tag; consider the maintenance costs. A set of tyres is $35,000; Bugatti recommends changing them every 5000km and with every third set you must also change the wheels".(Autocar p.68)

In summary both are fantastic cars. The Porsche 911 is better than the Bugatti in terms of price. If I were a wealthy person and I searched for excellence and uniqueness I would go for the Bugatti.

Chinese Women

• Summary

The only country in the world where more women commit suicide than men is China. There are 1.5 million women who attempt suicide and 150,000 of them succeed. And this number in the countryside is three times higher than in the cities.

Marriages in China are like business. The groom's parents buy the bride, and this affects women's emotions. So, 70-80% of suicides are the direct result of conflicts between husbands and wives.

The traditional values are a problem for women in China. Also, there is no easy way to dispose of an unhappy marriage. Xu Rong's organization helped many women to get rid of their hard situation by discussing their feelings and supporting them.

Moving to cites for working can help those women; they will be far from their family. And, when they return to the countryside to marry, the experience of being away from home can be life-changing. So they will depend on themselves and they will get more confidence about themselves.

• Main Idea

There is a huge number of women who resort to suicide in China, to escape from their emotional problems.

• Comment

o This number of women who commit suicide is big and they should find a good solution for that, like if any woman experienced problems from her family, the police should act with them and they can impose punishments for that.

o Moving those women to cities for work, so they are far from their families is a good solution to reduce this huge number, and I agree with the writer.

o My opinion to solve this problem is to educate all Chinese families about this problem so they will dispose of their strong tradition.
